I met a man last week wearing a green dinosaur costume with a prominent tail and loading oil paints into the back of his car in the parking lot of our beautiful Denver Wash Park. He noticed me from across the road and randomly asked if I was writing poetry. :) I crossed over to approach him and we proceeded to connect over art, painting and lonely winters.
As I gave him one of my Messages from the Universe envelopes, I expressed my appreciation to him for his smile, his light, reaching out to me, and showing up authentically and bravely in his dinosaur costume. :) He said "Who are you?" and I replied, "Just someone who likes to spread a little love in the world". We hugged a beautiful and heartfelt soul-connecting hug, and then parted ways as I joined my friend for our evening walk.
The experience touched me very profoundly… I felt a lightness and joy from the encounter, and a deeper understanding of the oneness and divine connection that exists between us all. He was my angel in that moment as I probably was for him as well… two souls finding each other in the vast expanse of an endless ocean. Opening my heart to this sweet stranger gave me just the inspiration I needed that day to continue moving more fully into my purpose of being and extending Love. I am grateful to him for that. <3
