Breath and healing touch are both essential components to a vital healthy body and state of mind. Many times we forget to breathe in a life-affirming way. Conscious breathing helps to ground us, get more oxygen flowing in our blood cells, and stops our mind from racing with random thoughts.
Hugging and breathing together is a good reminder to be present in our bodies. When we are hugging someone it’s easy to feel them breathing... try to pay attention to the rhythm and pace of their breath. See if you can follow it so that you are both breathing together. This can be a very powerful connection... with another and with ourselves!
